Yankees center fielder Curtis Granderson isn't hitting well and wasn't in the starting lineup Wednesday night as he attempts to rework his swing.

Granderson didn't start on Tuesday night either.

"[Granderson] came to me and said, 'I want to try something different. What do you suggest?' " New York hitting coach Kevin Long said.

Long came up with "a total reformation of the swing that hopefully will work against lefties and righties, and hopefully will get him on a good little streak here."
