Padres starter Chris Young threw off the mound for the first time since May 5 in a 30-fastball bullpen session on Saturday afternoon. "Physically, I felt good, I felt no pain in my shoulder," Young said. He is scheduled for another bullpen session Tuesday when the Padres return to Petco Park. "I can't look too far forward," said Young, who has been on the disabled since throwing six scoreless innings in the second game of the season. "I can't get ahead of myself. We need to see what the shoulder can handle. We're hopeful, but we don't know." Young is hoping to rejoin the Padres rotation next month.
