Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano could return to the team's starting rotation next week against the Giants. Chicago manager Lou Piniella plans to talk with pitching coach Larry Rothschild in the next day or two about the team's options for filling two vacancies. "He got some pitches stretching out on Sunday," Piniella said, referring to Zambrano's 53-pitch relief appearance. "We're going to talk about this situation, and we'll have something for you no later than Friday."
