The Kansas City Royals announced today that the club has acquired catcher Lucas May and right-handed pitcher Elisaul Pimentel from the Los Angeles Dodgers for outfielder Scott Podsednik.

May will be assigned to Omaha (AAA) while Pimentel will report to Burlington (A).

Several NL West teams were interested in acquiring Podsednik.
