Mets center fielder Carlos Beltran is expected to rejoin the team when the second half of the season kicks off on Thursday.

New York will be in San Francisco facing to the Giants.

"I'm happy to be back and a part of the team," Beltran said Sunday. "[And to] try to help accomplish our mission: trying to win the division and trying to be in the playoffs."

Mets manager Jerry Manuel said Beltran will hit fourth and play center field against the Giants.
