Mariners pitcher Erik Bedard pitched 4 1/3 innings for Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday night in what could be his final rehab start before returning to the majors.

He allowed an unearned run and three infield singles in a 2-1 victory over Portland.

Bedard threw 81 pitches, the most he's tossed in 11 months.

"Yeah, I feel pretty good," Bedard said.

He last pitched in a major-league game on July 25, when he felt pain in his shoulder. He then had surgery Aug. 14 to repair a torn labrum.

Seattle is hoping he'll make his 2010 debut on Tuesday against Kansas City.
