Buck Showalter met Wednesday with Orioles owner Peter Angelos and club president Andy MacPhail for three hours about their managerial position.

Showalter is a former manager of Yankees, Diamondbacks and Rangers.

Bobby Valentine, who also interviewed for the job, told the Orioles on Wednesday that he was no longer interested in being a candidate.
