The Red Sox are actively discussing a possible Mike Lowell trade with the Rangers and Twins, according to major-league sources.

The Angels are also "hovering" in the race for Lowell.

In addition to moving Lowell, the Red Sox are looking to add an additional outfielder after Jeremy Hermida went on the disabled list Friday.
