Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter isn't going to help recruit two-time NBA MVP LeBron James to come play in New York City.

James will be a free agent this summer and the Knicks are hoping to sign him.

"It wouldn't make sense," Jeter said.

Knicks president Donnie Walsh wants as many New Yorkers as possible to help convince James to choose New York City.

"If there's Yankees that want to help us, we would involve them," Walsh told the New York Post on Sunday.

LeBron is a Yankees fan.
