The White Sox have struggled and manager Ozzie Guillen's players wouldn't be surprised by any moves the team makes. "I wouldn't be [shocked]," pitcher Mark Buehrle said of any possible moves. "You've got to look at how we're playing and guys' contracts are up. Guys are making a lot of money and not performing. That's [general manager Ken Williams'] job, and he's got to [make changes] if he feels like we're going to be out of it. If it's best to get rid of a bunch of guys, then he's got to do it. But I don't know when that time will be, and you've got to go out there and keep trying to win games." Buehrle said players aren't preoccupied with what might happen. "It's one of those things that if it happens, it happens," he said. "You can't go up there and play thinking, 'I'm going to get traded or there's a chance that I'm going to get traded' or whatever. If you're playing like that, you're going to be playing tight. I don't think anybody's worried about it. And if that day comes, you pack your bag and go and try to help that team win." |
