The Mets have solved their Oliver Perez problem for the time-being.
New York placed Perez on the disabled list Saturday, retroactive to June 1 with patella tendinitis in his right knee.
The move ends a lengthy back-and-forth between the team and the left-hander.
The Mets had been trying to send Perez to down to the minor leagues for weeks, but Perez refused, as is his right under the collective bargaining agreement.
