The Mets have lost first baseman Daniel Murphy for the remainder of the season with a right knee injury.
Murphy, who lost his starting job to Ike Davis and was playing for Triple-A Buffalo, suffered a high-grade tear of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee.
He suffered the injury when he was taken about by Syracuse's Leonard Davis on Wednesday night.
