Yankees center fielder Curtis Granderson could return to the field this week.

He has been out since May 1 with a left groin strain.

"I am going to DH (Saturday) and play center field the next day," said Granderson.

Granderson's first game will be in Louisville.

Asked how many rehab games he would require to be ready, he said, "Four, possibly."

Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre plays four games before an off day on Wednesday, which means he could return to the Yankees on Thursday.

"We hope to get him sometime next week if everything goes well," manager Joe Girardi said. "He will play five or six days with some DH in there, too."
