The Mets are shopping second baseman Luis Castillo, according to a report by FOX Sports.

"Among the teams they've contacted: the Rockies, who are not satisfied with utility man Melvin Mora as their backup second baseman," FOX Sports writes.

A trade would open up a spot for Daniel Murphy at second base.
