The Red Sox aren't rushing center fielder Mike Cameron back from an abdominal tear.

Boston manager Terry Francona says Cameron needs a few more rehab appearances before returning to the club.

Cameron was scheduled to play for Double-A Portland on Wednesday, but the game was rained out and he'll take the field on Thursday.
