Giants pitching prospect Madison Bumgarner improved his stock on Monday with a shutout performance over seven innings against Triple-A Oklahoma City. For the season, Bumgarner is 3-1 with a 3.64 ERA for Triple-A Fresno. He allowed just three hits on Monday, while striking out eight batters and walking just two. After a rocky start to the season, he allowed 11 earned runs in his first seven innings, the left-hander has settled down. Bumgarner has surrendered just one run in his last two starts, both victories, over 13 innings. San Francisco drafted him with the 10th overall pick in the 2007 First-Year Player Draft. |
