The Rangers have contacted the White Sox about the availability of catcher A.J. Pierzynski.

Texas has had issues at the position this season, but the Chicago Tribune reports that the lengthy delay in the team's sale could prohibit them from taking on Pierzynski's $6.7 million salary.

The White Sox are seven games under .500 and might be willing to shake up their roster.
