Jason Kubel hit a grand slam off Yankees closer Mariano Rivera in the eighth inning on Sunday afternoon as the Twins were victorious 6-3.
The victory allowed Minnesota to snap a nine-game losing streak to New York.
"It's a pretty good feeling," Kubel said. "It's an even better feeling that we finally beat them."
The grand slam was the first hit off Rivera since 2002.
