The Yankees have placed designated hitter Nick Johnson on the 15-day disabled list with a wrist injury.

Johnson left Friday's win over the Red Sox with an injury to his right wrist. The injury caused him pain while hitting in the first inning.

He returned to New York for testing on Saturday.

Johnson is hitting .167 with two home runs and eight RBIs.
