If the Red Sox opt to trade Mike Lowell, the third baseman is intrigued about playing for the Twins and Angels.

A friend of Lowell told Jayson Stark of ESPN.com of the veteran's preference.

Lowell is hitting .317 in limited action this season, but he's gotten more at-bats lately as Boston platoons at DH.
