Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz expects to return to the team on May 12, the first day he's eligible to come off the disabled list.

He is recovering from a right hamstring injury. Cruz ran at 70 percent of full speed over the weekend.

"It's definitely getting better every day," he said. "When I come off, I know I'm going to be ready to do everything."
