For the second straight season, Red Sox slugger David Ortiz has struggled mightily to begin the season.

He is having problems with even average fastballs and teams are listening to the scouting reports, feeding him fastballs early and often.

According to FanGraphs, nearly 64% percent of the pitches Ortiz sees are fastballs.

He has 23 strikeouts against just eight walks, giving him an OPS of .634 through 18 games.

Ortiz has a career OPS of .918.
