Cliff Lee dazzled in his Mariners debut on Friday night, but Seattle still lost 2-0 to Texas.

Lee struck out eight in seven innings of shutout baseball as the game wasn't decided until the 12th inning. He allowed just three hits and threw for a strike on 73 of his 98 pitches.

His season debut was delayed by an abdominal injury.
