Red Sox CEO Larry Lucchino wants to see more people from Connecticut rooting for his team.

Lucchino spent Friday in Hartford, speaking to a small group to begin what the team is calling a "Listening Tour" to all the New England states.

"This is the one state in New England we don't have to ourselves," he said. "There is a small slice of Western Vermont where there are some Yankees fans. But Connecticut is definitely a border state."

The Yankees appear to be getting in on the fun as well.

They brought the World Championship trophy to the state capital over the winter.
