The Mets have promoted first-base prospect Ike Davis.

Davis was scratched from Buffalo's Triple-A lineup shortly before a 1:05 p.m. game vs. Scranton-Wilkes Barre and will bat sixth for New York on Monday evening against the Cubs.

"I think actually it's going to be better playing my first game [at Citi Field]," Davis told ESPNNewYork.com.

"Baptism by fire, or whatever that saying is. I think it's going to be a better experience since you play most of your games at home. You have to do it sometime, might as well get it over with."
