 More Royals NewsMichael Montgomery followed up an excellent first start of 2010 on April 8th with a 13 strikeout performance on Tuesday for Single-A Wilmington. Montgomery gave up one earned run on two hits over seven innings without walking a batter. Montgomery now has 19 strikeouts in 12 innings of work this season with a 0.75 ERA. The southpaw Montgomery was selected 36th overall in the 2008 MLB Draft. He had a 2.25 ERA in high Single-A in 2009 while striking out 46 batters in 52 innings. |
