Blue Jays outfielder Vernon Wells is the first player in franchise history to hit a home run in each of the team's first three games of a season. Wells hit his fourth homer in three games as Toronto defeated Texas on Thursday. He had just 15 home runs and 66 RBIs in 2009 as he struggled with a wrist issue. "He's been awesome, absolutely great," Toronto manager Cito Gaston said. "It's just what we needed. You don't expect him to hit home runs like that, but something close would be nice."
