Rays third baseman Evan Longoria hit a mammoth home run in the sixth inning against the Orioles on Tuesday. Longoria hit a 473-foot homer down the left-field line, one of the longest in the history of Tropicana Field. "It felt like I really hit that one," Longoria said. "I didn't know how far that would go. I stood there for a second just to see if it was going to stay fair. It was down the line, I didn't know if I hooked it or not. But I definitely knew it was hit well. ... I've probably hit some balls harder that were on a line, but [that was] probably one of the furthest I hit, for sure." Longoria's blast ranks third in the stadium's history, between Jonny Gomes (474 feet) and Vinny Castilla (478).
