Ichiro Suzuki has now recorded 10 years of service in the Major Leagues, qualifying him for consideration in Cooperstown.

Ichiro hit the mark on Tuesday in his first inning at-bat against the Athletics.

Once a player retires, he must wait five years to be considered for Hall of Fame candidacy.

Several voters already are on record as saying Ichiro is on the cusp of being a Hall of Famer, citing his MLB record nine consecutive seasons with at least 200 hits.
