Mike Jacobs will bat cleanup for the Mets beginning on Opening Day.

Jacobs will bat inbetween David Wright and Jason Bay, according to manager Jerry Manuel.

"He's a power guy, and we missed a little power last year. He has a nice presence in the lineup. He has a nice presence in the field. I've always liked Jacobs," Manuel said of the former Marlin.
