The Red Sox kept LHP Scott Schoeneweis over RHP Joe Nelson for the final spot in the bullpen. A team source has confirmed it to the Globe.

The choice for Nelson is to either go to Pawtucket or retire. He cannot opt out of his contract until June. Given how often teams change relievers, Nelson will almost surely go to Triple-A.
