The University of Minnesota lost to Louisiana Tech 9-1 on Saturday in the first baseball game played at Target Field, the new home of the Twins.

More than 37,757 people attended the game. Tickets were $2, with proceeds going to the team's community fund. Former Gophers and Twins catcher Terry Steinbach threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
