Blue Jays slugger Adam Lind had a career-year in 2009, but at times he still feared being sent down to the minor leagues. "You can have a hot start for a month," Lind said. "Then, it usually takes three weeks for word to get around to how to pitch this guy and then they'd adjust and I was too stubborn to make the adjustment back. By June, that's a long enough stretch I would say for big league pitchers to try to figure things out. "But even last year, I was like, 'I bought myself two more weeks in the big leagues.' Then it was, 'OK, I bought myself another two weeks.' It was always in the back of my mind that I could still get sent down." Lind posted .305 average, with 35 home runs, 114 RBIs and 81 extra-base hits last season.
