Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels is happy with the cutter he has been working on since last season.

"When I'm able to get myself in a strikeout situation, I have three pitches now I can throw to really get a guy out," Hamels said. "I think that makes it more of a challenge for the hitter to go up there and battle."

Hamels plan to work on both the cutter and a curveball this spring.
