Mets third baseman David Wright says that his body wasn't right last season. "I don't know if it was necessarily the groin," Wright said of what affected him last season. "If I'm wincing, chances are there's something that's biting at me. A lot of times I don't know because I don't really go get it checked out, to be honest with you. I don't know. Sometimes it flares up and sometimes not so much." However, Wright says that his injuries didn't lead to his struggles with power in 2009. "Everybody has injuries through the course of the year," he said. "I'm no different than anybody else. It's something where you get banged up and you've got to play through it. Me not driving the ball has more to do with mechanics and the approach that I was bringing up to the plate rather than any little kind of injury."
