Randy Johnson finished his first bullpen session of spring training, and Jorge Posada walked up to give the Big Unit a handshake.

"Start all over again," the catcher said later.

Johnson was a 6-foot-10 mystery in his first season with the Yankees, uncomfortable on the mound and at times on the streets of the big city.

"Everybody had their own definition of what they were expecting from me, madman or whatever," he said Friday.

His emotion on the mound vanished for much of the season. His velocity was down and he allowed home runs at an alarming rate.
