Johnny Damon signed a one-year, $8 million deal with the Tigers, but incentives could drive up the contract's value.

According to ESPN's Buster Olney, Damon has the following clauses:

He would get $500,000 for being named MVP ($200,000 for 2nd through 5th; $100,000 for 6th through 10th), $100,000 for being voted in as an All-Star ($50,000 for selection), $100,000 for winning the Hank Aaron Award; $100,000 for a Gold Glove; $100,000 for a Silver Slugger.

He would get $150,000 for being named the LCS MVP, $200,000 for World Series MVP and he gets a suite on the road.
