Ichiro Suzuki had fun last season, but he's especially excited to begin the 2010 campaign. "Last year was very special to me," he said. "My first year [2001] was very fun as well, but that's because we won. Last year was very natural and we had fun from the bottom of our hearts." He set a Major League record with a ninth consecutive 200-hit season and the team restored respectability with 85 wins in 2009. In the offseason, the Mariners upgraded at a number of positions and many are excited about their chances of making the postseason this year. "Being back in Japan for most of the offseason, I had a lot of guys around me who gave me good information about who we acquired and who we lost," Ichiro said. "I followed that very well."
