The White Sox and free-agent outfielder Johnny Damon haven't really progressed in their negotiations in recent weeks, according to sources.

However, that doesn't mean a deal won't get done.

The Tigers are still believed to be the frontrunners to sign Damon, but there is a belief that Detroit may grow tired of waiting around for the veteran to make a decision.
