Derek Jeter is holding off talking about his contract status until next week.

Jeter told a small group of reporters he would address the issue at a later date. Jeter doesn?t want to have to answer the question for several straight days.

Jeter, 36 in June, will earn $21 million this coming season and is eligible for arbitration following the World Series.

Jeter is the final season of a $189 million contract.

RealGM Note: Jeter was ranked 40th in season FIC during the 2009 season and 'deserved' to make $13 million.
