There is mutual interest from the Diamondbacks and third baseman Mark Reynolds in working out a contract extension and that the club is expected to make an offer sometime before spring training. There are some indications that the sides could talk about a three-year deal. Reynolds still is a year away from becoming eligible for arbitration for the first time, so his salary for 2010 will be club-controlled, i.e., in the $500,000 range. |
