Free-agent outfielder Johnny Damon wants to play for the Tigers, according to his agent.

"Johnny believes the addition of him to Detroit's lineup would make the Tigers a winner," Scott Boras told the Detroit News.

"He's batted .363 at Comerica Park, he has a .412 on-base percentage at Comerica," Boras added.

Damon, 36, has a career .288 batting average, 207 home runs, and needs only four more RBIs to reach the 1,000 mark.
