Even though Johnny Damon will sign with another team this offseason, he is already thinking about the possibility of being traded to the Yankees at midseason.

Brian Cashman didn't dismiss the concept.

"You never know,'' Cashman said. "The Yankees like players who can help us win.''

The A's, Rays, Tigers, Reds, Braves and Blue Jays are all believed to have varying degree of interest.
