Vicente Padilla will return to the Dodgers on a one-year, $4-million contract, according to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com.

Padilla will start the season in the Dodgers rotation, leaving competition for the No. 5 slot among Scott Elbert, James McDonald, Charlie Haeger, Eric Stults and others.
