With the Giants signing Bengie Molina, they are out of the running for Johnny Damon.

Due to how the market has presented itself, Damon probably should have accepted a final offer from the Yankees worth $14 million over two seasons.

One team insider said, ?Johnny overplayed his hand.?

Damon now must hope the Yankees are open to reengaging talks, or that the Braves can find a spot for him.
