That list includes starter Shaun Marcum and relievers Jason Frasor, Brian Tallet, Casey Janssen, Shawn Camp and Jeremy Accardo. "In the past, I've noticed that some agents don't want to do serious negotiating until closer to the date of the hearing (in February)," Anthopoulos said. "There's a certain amount of cost certainty involved, but we're just letting them know that let's get them done now." The Jays, in fact, have not taken anyone to arbitration since reliever Bill Risley lost a rancorous debate with GM Gord Ash's camp in the spring of '97. |
