The Marlins plan to restart talks with pitcher Josh Johnson on a contract extension this week.
Agent Matt Sosnick claims that Johnson will consider a deal if Florida is willing to guarantee a four-year deal.
Arbitration-eligible for the second time, Johnson is in line to make about $4.2 million in 2010.
