Free-agent outfielder Randy Winn said on Friday night that he wasn't aware that the Nationals were interested in him.

Published reports indicated that Washington had interest in Winn's services.

"Like I said, I've never even received a call from them," Winn told MLB.com via telephone. "I don't believe my agent has either. Whether they do or don't has not been expressed to me."

Even a baseball source, who is familiar with the Nationals' thinking, said he didn't see Winn coming to Washington because the Nationals appear to be set with a starting outfield of Josh Willingham, Nyjer Morgan and Elijah Dukes.
