According to a report, the Blue Jays have offered free-agent Cuban left-hander Aroldis Chapman a $23 million contract.

The report came from El Nuevo Herald, a Spanish-language version of the Miami Herald.

The paper also states the Angels have offered Chapman an undisclosed sum believed to be close to Toronto's offer.

Chapman is reportedly looking for a five-year deal.
