The Mariners are close to finalizing a four-year deal with outfielder Franklin Gutierrez, according to reports.

The deal is reportedly going to be worth $20.5 million.

A four-year deal would buy out his final three years of salary arbitration as well as his first potential year of free agency in 2013.
